About

Julie has been engaged in the visual arts for over twenty years. After her formal art history education, she worked in a gallery setting and then as an independent art consultant. Recognizing a need for an independent art/decorative arts appraiser in her community she pursued appraisal studies at the International Society of Appraisers and attended the New York University’s certificate program in the Appraisal of Fine and Decorative Arts in conjunction with the Appraisers Association of America.

She has extensive experience in appraisal of personal property (specializing in fine and decorative art) for insurance qualification, charitable donation, damage and loss claims, estate tax liability, equitable distribution of property for estate or divorce matters, resale and pre-purchase consultation.

Clients include major banking institutions, educational and museum institutions, large corporations, trust officers, estate executors, attorneys and individual collectors.
